Skimming Protection

Do I need skimming protection?

Why would you risk your personal information being compromised?

Skimming Protection now is a necessity, no longer is it just confined to the tinfoil hat brigade or overly paranoid. If you fall into the it will never happen to me category then you are exactly what the criminals who perpetrate skimming crimes are looking for easy marks.

The reality is its no longer a matter of if you will get skimmed, its now more of when you will get skimmed.

Australian Capital Territory’s Chief of Police, Officer Lammers put it well, Saying…

I think the reality is we have it (RFID & NFC technology is here to stay.), now how do we create the mechanisms that now protect ourselves from people who want to exploit that (technology), he said.

There will be clever and enterprising crooks who find a way of actually getting that data from your card, either in scam skimming devices, which have been common for some time,

He went on to say…

As technology advances, being able to pluck the details out of the air before you even go anywhere near one of these payWave machines, which is of real concern.

The criminals are always a step ahead, now with wireless skimming on the radar of the police you should believe it is already happening and only going to get worse.

So the time to action and start to protect yourself has never been more important than right now. That is were Armourcard comes in, we produce the worlds 1st Active RFID & NFC electronic jamming device with patented technology inside, that is a superior countermeasure than the passive RFID blocking wallets or shielding sleeves* that most are familiar with or have seen advertised like the Aluma Wallet.

The difference is Armourcard actively and electronically jams the frequency (13.56MHz) these contact-less items (Tap and go credit cards & passports) communicate over, so even if a criminal boosts the power on a RFID & pumps out antenna strength it can not circumvent Armourcard’s jamming field. So where passive blocking or shielding items (like a RFID Blocking Wallet or Shielding credit card sleeves) can often still be penetrated by a hi-powered RFID reader, Armourcard can not.

We believe that if you are really serious about protecting your personal data from being wirelessly skimmed to won?t look past Armourcard’s Active Electronic Jamming Protection.
